The Lancaster Street Market is back for 2009! Following our success in October, November and December 2008, the Lancaster Downtown Business Association and See Lancaster have once again joined forces to bring the Lancaster Street Market back to Downtown Lancaster, SC. The dates for 2009 are:

The Lancaster Street Market is held on the corner of Main and Gay Streets in downtown Lancaster, SC. Summer hours for July, Aug, and Sept are 8:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. Parking is available in several nearby locations.
The Lancaster Street Market is an opportunity for local artists, jewelry makers, craft workers, bakers and other artisans to come and sell their wares to the people of Lancaster in an historic and beautiful setting. The Lancaster Street Market also allows the local community to come and see the abundance of talent found within the Lancaster area and to purchase items that are not widely available.

New for 2009 – Back Yard Garden
The Back Yard Garden is a new feature of the Lancaster Street Market that will be located downtown but in a separate location. The concept is to allow local residents who grow their own fruits, vegetables, harvest honey or can produce to sell it to their community neighbors. With the economy in its present state, it is hoped that this initiative will help local residents make extra money by selling their produce and also allow people to buy fresh and local items at lower prices. It is a win-win for all involved!
